IKEA GRUNDTAL Knife Rack Damage Free Tape / Command Strip Mount

This is an alternative standoff that allows the IKEA GRUNDTAL knife rack to be mounted using double sided tape or Command strips instead of drywall screws. I rent and have a granite backsplash, so I needed an alternative to screw mounting.

Be mindful of weight when using this. My knives are pretty light. Heavier knives may cause trouble / injury.

You'll need all of the following:

• 2x M3x10mm machine screws
• 2x M3 nuts
• 2x M3 washers
• 2x Small Command strips (or some double sided tape)

Attach the mount to the GRUNDTAL mounting bracket with the machine screws as shown in the photos. The head of the M3 screw should be flush with the back surface of the standoff. Attach to wall with tape.

The "special request" file was made for a user in the comments. It's made for medium sized Command strips and will stick out significantly from behind the rack. It's bulky but may work for you.
