Cobra Dashcam Mounting Bracket

I bought a dashcam because the drivers around me are cuckoo bananas. There weren't any easy places to mount it, and I ended up settling with where I put it. Enter a 3d printer. I made this after some quick measurements to basically take the part that connects to the camera, remove the articulating ball, and use an adhesive strip to mount it to a piece of plastic behind my mirror. Printing it right now, we'll see how it goes. 'Til then, here it is! There will be updates!

It works! But there can be improvements. The rounded part could be shorter to allow for a greater range of motion, the cutout for the bolt to go through needs to be a bit bigger (I need to get a digital caliper to measure stuff, no bones about it), and there could be a similar mechanism to allow it to lock into place instead of being a snug fit.

But hey, IT WORKS!

UPDATE

It worked for a bit. I didn't print it solid, and I didn't print it in ABS. The plastic started sagging and the command strip adhesive didn't hold up to closed-car-level temperatures. Back to the drawing board!
