Interlocking Brick Window
This is a casement style window for a Lego compatible brick wall. It features a slot in the side to insert "glass" such as clear acrylic or paper scenes or perhaps something to diffuse light.
I generated the blank brick using thing:615256 and then added window features and the slot using TinkerCAD.
The example in the photo is printed with Simplify 3D using supports inside the window opening and slot. Those required a little bit of cutting with a razor knife to clear out without damaging the part. I have gone through a few iterations and this is the first that survived support removal. I have had to reinforce the interior to keep the supports from damaging the final piece.
I included a model of the window pane itself for dimensional reference but I deleted that before printing mine. The window pane can made from a 1/16" (1.6 mm) sheet of acrylic. I scored the window shape with a knife and snapped it with pliers. There is ample overlap to hide any jagged edges and crooked cuts.
Future additions might include a version with a curtain rod holder inside.
