Drinking Bird Ornament

This drinking bird ornament will bob continuously whenever your Christmas lights are on. Since the bird is a heat engine, a cool head and warm body (temperature difference) will cause the bird to bob.

Print this (enlarge to 102%). It's 9 1/2 inches long and that fits on the MakerBot Replicator 2.

Insert an ornament hook (or paper clip) in the top hole. Insert a drinking bird in the square side holes:

Slide a C7 Christmas bulb (part of a light string) in the bottom slot. Rotate the bulb until the socket is a snug fit.

After about one minute, the bird will start bobbing--roughly 15 seconds of "bob" and 20 seconds of "wait" per cycle.
