How I Designed This

Why? What are these for?

            <div><p>The pins that go through the rollers in this were a little too thick and wouldn't fit, so I pulled them into blender 3-D, and made them a bit narrower (95% scaling on the female pins and 85% scaling on the male pins, so that they would fit into the female pins). I constrained the scaling to just the X and Y axes, so that they remained the same length, in order to fit properly with the rest of the mechanism. A drop of superglue on each pin helped set them in place.</p><p>There is also a tiny part named "splint" in the model, which is a little locking pin for the two parts of the handle. This also was too wide to fit the hole, but I did not scale a new version, as the fit of the two larger handle pieces was so tight that a locking pin was not needed. (Nor was any glue!)</p></div>
