PIR Sensor Housing with XLR port HD-SR501

I made this simple enclosure for a pir sensor that has space for a XLR chassis mount connector so you can run out a long xlr cable and put the sensor on the end.

It will fit an Neutrik D Series hole so in theory will fit any of the d-series range. I used a Male XLR Chassis mount.

I am also a big fan of using threaded Brass inserts for screw holes. They last alot better than just screwing directly into printed parts. This part is designed to use 2 x M3X6X4 inserts which you can get about 100 from ebay for £1.50. you melt them in with a soldering iron. If you don't want to use these I have included all the CAD files so you can remix away.
