3DLabPrint Stearman PT-17 Suppo Motor Mount
This is a standard firewall type motor mount for a Suppo 2826 motor to be used in the 3DLabPrint Stearman PT-17 airplane. It sits in between the fuselage and the dummy engine/motor mount so you can mount the motor with a regular firewall X-mount instead of reversed.
The first attempts with PLA softened from the heat of the motor being transmitted through the screws, so you should print with ABS or other higher-temperature material. I also used a disc of 1/32" plywood behind the mount as a "washer" for the screw heads to help thermally isolate them from the plastic. So far, the ABS version has held up well through a number of flights.
