Summary

This is a hanger for the Ikea LÅDDAN storage board. I was very unhappy when I realized this product didn't come with hangers, only shelves and cups (and a mirror). So because I needed a way to hang my daughters' sponges I went about designing a hanger that could fit into the storage board the same way the other accessories do.

How I Designed This

Make it compatible

            <div><p>I analysed the way the accessories fit into the board and it turns out it's a very simple way - a round head that fits into the holes.<br>On my hanger, though, I would have to make sure the thing would not rotate about itself, or it would defeat the purpose of a hanger. So instead of making it round, it's more like an elongated circle, which prevents it from rotating.</p><p>While printing several iterations I realized the best way to print is upright, so you get very few supports.</p></div>
