Haier Air Conditioner AC remote holder

This remote holder is for the Haier AC model ESA3089. The factory remote is poorly designed in that the 3 middle buttons feel the same when your'e correctly holding the remote or holding it backwards (pointing it towards yourself). This print fixes this issue for me quite nicely by providing an offset and different feel for the remote.

I quickly whipped this up in OpenSCAD and printed it out (the .scad file is linked below, if you'd like to view/mess with it). There's a hole for the IR transmitter and hole in the bottom to remove the remote (use a pencil/pen/other round, thin object to push in from under the remote). I didn't get the curve in the corners 100% corrent, but it is close enough. Pictures show my revision one attempt, where the IR hole and bottom hole are off by 1mm. This is v1.1, where I added a nice outward bevel to the IR hole (although the printed version shown works perfectly) and correctly centered both holes.

It's not perfect, but it does the job. I printed it with Blue PLA because that's hat we had extra of at the office. :)

UPDATE 2018-07-04: Modified OpenSCAD file to easily change the size. Added smaller version suitable to be printing on a Monoprice Select Mini.
