You can obtain better functionality apliying a bit of some lubricant on screw and sphere of the screw.

One Bar Clamp is composed of six parts: Beam (the bar), Bottom arm, Top arm, Screw, Push platform, and a pin. For mounting:

Mount bottom arm on beam first. If its fits too tight you can slice arm along beam repeatdly until ii slide smootly
Mount top arm on beam, bottom arm works better if it fits tight in beam. You can even glue it if you want, but this is not necessary.
Mount screw in bottom arm. Is higly recomendable use a bit of some lubricant in screw, and in sphere in top of screw.
Mount push platform in the top sphere of the screw just pressing.
Mount pin across the rectangular hole in top arm with beam to preven the arm to loose. It would be hard to put specialy if you have a bit of bad bridging, you can use some thin tool (a screwdriver or similar) to open a bit the hole.

It is higly recomendable to set Cura Parameter "Initial layer horizontal expansion" to -0.2 to prevent "elephant foot" allowing more easy fitting between parts.

For a wider distance from the screw to the top arm you can simply print a larger beam modifiying parameter "longviga" in file BAR-CLAMP-V1.scad, you can even use the rest of parts of a previusly printer Bar Clamp. You can print a first version with a small beam and if all is ok print after only a big beam to satisfy the size you need.

For screw only four diameter sizes are allowed 10, 8, 6, and 4 milimeters, use 10 mm for bigger and stronger clamps, 4 mm for really tiny clamps.

You can print a tiny functional Bar Clamp using screw 4 mm and use it as a keychain printing a hole in beam activating parameter "draw_keychain_hole" :-)

You can set parameters in BAR-CLAMP-V1.scad to draw all parts at a time, only one part at a time or a set of parts.

If you think beam fits too tight or too loose with top and/or bottom arm you can adjust parameters "holhuecovigatop" and/or "holhuecovigabot" values of 0.14 and 0.18 woks fine with my printer but for you particular printer (and material) others values would be more adecuates.

The screw and the thread in bottom arm are precompiled to save rendering time, i think it will fit properly in most cases if you have problems with screw fits you can scale it a bit or let mi know to try a solution.

I have printed this thin in PLA using layers 0.175 and 0.2 with good results.

EXPLANATION ABOUT FILES:
The files named with V2 have to be ignored, they are the precompiled files of screw and nut.
the main file is BAR-CLAMP-V1.scad, opening that file with OPENSCAD you can modify the parameters you want to obtain a bar clamp of the desired size.
The rest of .STL files are examples that you can print directly without executing OPENSCAD.
SCREW04 refers to a small clamp with a 4mm diameter screw, SCREW06 to a larger example with a 6mm diameter screw, and so on.
In these sample files named "ALL" refers to a file with all the pieces to print together. There are also files to print a piece at a time named with BEAM, BOTTOM, SCREW, .. and so on.
