FRsky Taranis QX7 Hand Warmer Buckle

I saw someone else do the same with a hole then duck tape and thought there has to be a cleaner way. A few min later made this.

DO NOT CUT YET!!!

Confirm that the buckle fits through your neck strap. But it SHOULD catch/get stuck on the buckle closest to the clasp. if all your buckles are the same size, you may need to thread it through, then use something to make it catch/get stuck. In the FRSky neck strap, the buckle closest to the metal clasp, is actually a few mm bigger then all the others.

  1. print 2. 1 on the outside of the hand warmer, the other inside.
  2. make a small mark where your neck strap sits when the qz7 is in the hand warmer. it's roughly the middle.
  3. hot glue the rougher side of the printed piece to the outside
  4. hot glue the piece inside the hand warmer aligning them as best you can.
  5. cut or melt through the hole in the middle, then cleanup the hole. I used a rasp to get it nice and clean.
  6. thread your neck strap through the hole
  7. go outside and fly!
