Hey there!
Here I am again with a new little figure, this one is Uni from Hyperdimension Neptinua.

The model is 97.84mmx86.43mmx180mm

It's still a work in progress and some parts may be very hard to print (the barrel of the sniper...)

The model is based on the game's model, so if you played it you might recognize some parts of it :) All the textures are from the game

How I Designed This

            <div><p>This model was developed in four major steps, </p><p>The first one was to find good references/pictures to model/texture the figurine, I found that the textures of the game models were relatively good (and especially, easily accessible :^) ) and I, therefore, chose these. </p><p>The next step was obviously about modeling/texturing the character...</p><p>After doing that, I started thinking about a pose for Uni, looked at a lot of fan arts and found some good poses to do. I used a Kinect and nimate to have a "realistic" position that I could then tweak to add the sniper.</p><p>Finally, I finished configuring the model with netfabb, in particular, to checking that the model was watertight after all the modifications it had undergone during the rigging stage and that it was well oriented/had a good size.</p><p>All I had left to do was to render a nice picture, and export the project:)</p><p><em>I hope you like it! :)</em></p></div>                <p class="detail-title"><strong>French :</strong></p>            <div><p>Ce modèle a été réalisé en quatre étapes majeures, </p><p>La première a consisté a trouver de bonnes références pour modéliser / texturer la figurine, j'ai trouvé que les textures du modèle du jeu étaient relativement bonnes (et surtout, facilement accessibles :^) ) et j'ai donc opté pour celles-ci. </p><p>La prochaine étape a été bien évidement axée sur la modélisation/le texturing du personnage...</p><p>Après avoir fait cela, j'ai commencé a réfléchir a une pose pour Uni, j'ai regardé pas mal de fan arts et j'ai trouvé de bonnes poses a faire. J'ai utilisé une kinect et nimate pour avoir une position "réaliste" que j'ai pu ensuite tweak pour ajouter le sniper.</p><p>Enfin, j'ai fini de configurer le modèle avec netfabb, notamment, pour vérifier que le modèle était toujours bien watertight après toutes les modifications qu'il avait subis pendant l’étape de rigging, et qu'il était bien orienté / avait une bonne taille.</p><p>Je n'ai plus eut qu'à rendre une jolie image, et à exporter le projet :)</p><p><em>J’espère qu'elle vous plait ! :)</em></p></div>
