A Box for a 11.5 mm Micro Switch

This box makes a great supplement when you want to accomodate a micro switch. Put it in, shut the lid, glue it anywhere. That's it.

This box can accommodate a 11.5 x 11.5 mm switch.

I use it as on/off switch for my Raspberry Pies (put it on pin 5 and 6)

Usage

This box is designed in two parts so you can solder the necessary wire to the switch's legs. Then fiddle the wire through the box's windows. Take the L cap and push it into the main part so it looks like a box (which it is, you should've known from the title)

Notes on the design

This was done from scratch with Blender. Independent from that it is amusingly hard to creat a thing that slides into each other.

Thing History

The current version is version 3.1. which does not suffer as much friction when the L-Cap is put into the main box.
