Archimedean Solids
Archimedes was a Greek mathematician, inventor, engineer,….
He invented a principle that is named after him, a screw and many other things.
But Archemedes also created 13 solids.
These solids are made by using regular convex polygons of two or more different types.
Each side of these polygons has the same length.
They all have a very high symmetry.
I gave them a number from 1 to 13….
I gave them these numbers as I found them on the internet.
I was able to recreate 11 of them in the 3d design program I use… just 2 of them I’m still figuring out how to design them.
A1: Truncated Tetrahedron
A2: Cuboctohedron
A3: Truncated Cube
A4: Truncated Octohedron
A5: Rhombicuboctohedraon
A6: Truncated Cuboctohedron
A7: Snub Cube (not yet designed)
A8: Icosidodecahedron
A9: Truncated Dodecahedron
A10: Truncated Icosahedron
A11: Rhombicosododecahedron
A12: Truncated Icosidodecahedron
A13: Snub Dodecahedron (not yet designed)
As i print them i will update the files.
