Toilet Seat Lifter
Never lift the toilet seat or get into any arguments over the matter ever again, simply use foot to push foot pedal down and seat goes up, but not all the way so that it doesn't get left up.
Print time a bit long but well worth the wait to never lift the seat again.
Print Instructions:
1- print stl files 1 and 2 with no supports at 80% or higher infill @ 200 microns
2- print stl file 3 twice with supports only for wheel at 80% or higher infill @ 200 microns
- Put PLA segments through holes to connect foot pedal parts and the pulley parts together and super glue to secure segments. Glue the foot pedal to the floor next to toilet using hot glue gun.(works best on linoleum or tile floor)
- Hot glue pulleys onto toilet in area shown in pictures.
- Hot glue seat attachment onto toilet seat in area as shown.
- Tie a thick heavy duty string, i used polyester, to tie knot onto seat attachment, run it through the pulleys to reduce required lifting force, add more pulleys in needed as they will divide the amount of force needed with each new pulley.
- Tie knot around heavy duty paper clip mid section.
- Tie the end to the hole in top of foot pedal and make it as taught as possible.
- Twist paper clip around and around to act as a tensioner and remove as much slack from the line as possoble, then scotch tape it into place to hold it secure.
- Test it out, if it works, super glue knots so they will never come undone. If it doesnt work, try redoing the thread before repositioning foot pedal.
