Summary

A rubber band powered PCB vise.

Instructions

Print two of the end pieces. You can print one set of the pcbvise-support.stl (note: currently untested) or you can use small dowels or pencils through the square holes. Make sure the slots are facing each other. Wrap rubber bands around each end of both dowels to stop the pieces from slipping off or use the (untested) stops in the pcbvise-support.stl file.

Then put a large rubber band through the center slot on both pieces. Secure one side around the right hand dowel on both pieces on the outside (non-slot) side of the vise. Then repeat with another rubber band but do the left hand side. If your rubber band is large enough (like the one in the pictures) you may only need one rubber band for all sides.

Now you can insert a board in the slots by pulling apart the plates. The rubber bands will pull it back in trapping the board.
