Ring Carving Mount

I make bent wood rings as Bentwood Forge and quite a few of them have a lot of intricate detail that I carve by hand. For carving something that small, it's really useful to have a stable mount that moves while you work. Engravers and jewelry makers have something like this and it works great. I wanted that functionality in something I designed and built myself. This is what I came up with.

The .blend file that's included is what I actually used to export the STLs. There's a bit of animation in there, but that's mostly to show how the thing goes together.
