CAPTAIN MARVEL EAR SAVER MULTIMATERIAL

Remixed the really nice Captain Marvel ear saver by funbobby2001 (apologies, I can't get the "Remix Source Files" to work so that I can tag it to his, which is thing ID 4315005). Imported into Fusion 360, and rebuilt it with a number of modifications and segments for multi-material printing and optimized for 0.44 mm extrusion width to reduce need for gap fill. Printed it using Mosaic Manufacturing Palette 2S Pro to a Creatbot F430.

You can see a lot of stringing in the pic of my first print. The Mosaic Canvas software path planning is a little annoying, as it doesn't do a good job at minimizing crossing of perimeters and it performs a ton of unnecessary repositioning. I had to tune the retraction and temp quite a bit to minimize the stringing caused by this.

There's a belt webbing that can be printed as an option. I found it was really difficult to get the temps and retraction tuned well enough for the webbing to come out right, your mileage may vary.

I print the ear savers flat in PLA, clean it up, then use a heat gun on the back of it to get it just hot enough to reshape, then mold it over a cylinder to shape it (I found that a 1 gallon paint can on it's side works great). Careful with the heating - PLA contracts like a shrinky dink and it happens fast.
