Walberswick Station Office (1882 to 1902)

This building is the from the Southwold Railway - Walberswick Station building dating from approximately 1882 to 1902. Plans came from the book "Branch Line to Southwold" by Vic Mitchell and Keith Smith. One of the two doors is modeled in the open position as it appears in both of the photos above. The actual size of the building seems to be unknown - but I estimated it from the height of the Station Master - assuming him to be 5'8" tall. As best as I can estimate from those two photos, the building is set back about 12 feet from the edge of the platform. The room on the righthand side of the building is the Clerk's office, the middle room is the Booking office and the space on the left of the building is the Gentleman's Urinal. Sadly, no toilets were provided for the ladies!
