Battery Hatch Cover for Max Thrust Riot

EDIT 24 Feb 24
Updated STLs so that clips are easier to fit to lid.

Many of the existing STLs for the Riot battery bay try to make the hinge part of the print. I think this is a mistake because it becomes the first thing to break.

The hinge for this design instead uses a piece of a wooden BBQ skewer round about 3mm in diameter, length around 55mm - 60mm.

I also used an idea from
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5401449

which neatly ducks the problem of printing the clips as part of the hatch and does them separately.

The hole for the hinge may need the support removing with a 3.5mm drill bit.
The clips should be push fit into place and then fixed with a dab of CA

Note that the clips were designed to be more secure than the original, and as a consequence they work best if you release one side at a time. If you want to make it easier to open you can file/snip the clips down.

Warning

DO NOT use this design without securing the aircraft battery with a velcro battery strap.
