Summary

A cute kid whose hair is also a pumpkin. She looks like a regular pumpkin from the back, and I designed her to print without supports. Happy Halloween!

I printed this with a 0.4mm nozzle, layer height 0.2mm. You will want to make sure you have some sort of "detect bridging perimeters" setting turned on (for outer perimeters that are treated like bridges), and thick bridges turned OFF in slicers like Prusa.</p><p>Pumpkin Kid should need no supports or raft.</p><p>I have also included a .STL file with the different parts separated, which I believe can be used for multi material/multi color printing (but cannot test myself.) </p></div>

How I Designed This

I made the bulk of this design in OnShape, a CAD program, to help me keep geometry clean and limit my overhang angles. I used Inkscape to draw out the clothing details, then exported those to OnShape as dxf files. The face, the stem, and some other sculpting details I did in Blender. I also used Krita's wraparound mode to make a texture for the stem, which I applied in Blender.
