Summary

A Customizer version of my Ring_band_creation_script http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:12804 with support for about 15 styles of ring band shape, with engraved or raised text in your choice of font on the inside or outside using write.scad

Customizer versions supporting other ring sizing systems are also available.

Instructions

Open in Customizer & provide the following information:

Ring Size in USA Canadian format
The Main Wall Thickness (say 1 to 5 mm)
The Main Depth (say 1 to 10 mm)
The Main Feature Value (see below for description)
The Cross Sectional Shape (Choose from 15 shapes as shown below!)

6a. Do you want to add text?
6b. Do you want engraved or raised text?
6c. Text Inside Where would you like the text?
6d. The wording of the Text Itself
6e. The height of each letter in mm
6f. The Depth of engraved/raised letters
6g. The Spacing between adjacent letters
6h. The Text Font

Smoothness (20-30 is good for getting an idea of the shape or if you want a very angular ring, if you want it smooth go for a large number like 50-100!)
Choose from 1 of 15 cross section styles!

Current Cross Sections Available:
ellipse, rectangle, pill, hemi ellipse, scallopped rectangle, rounded scallopped rectangle, rounded hemi ellipse (a "D-shape" band), rounded rectangle, chamfered rectangle, half pill, reverse hemi ellipse, reverse rounded hemi ellipse, half chamfered rectangle, ellipse intersection, rounded ellipse intersection (a "Court" band)

Effects of "Main Feature" Value:
ellipse - None
rectangle - None
pill - None
hemi ellipse - None
scallopped rectangle - Depth in mm of the elliptical gouge on the otuside of ring
rounded scallopped rectangle - Depth in mm of the elliptical gouge on the otuside of ring & radius in mm of the circle used to smooth the shape
rounded hemi ellipse - radius in mm of the circle used to smooth the shape
rounded rectangle - radius in mm of the fillet at the corners
chamfered rectangle - length from removed corner of chamfer
half pill - None
reverse hemi ellipse - None
reverse rounded hemi ellipse - radius in mm of the circle used to smooth the shape
half chamfered rectangle - length from removed corner of chamfer
ellipse intersection - ratio of the front and back side
rounded ellipse intersection (a "Court" band) - ratio of the front and back side before smoothing with a 0.5mm circle
