US New VTOL Aircraft - Micro Scale
NOTE: Two corrected models of the V-280 Valor have been added, their .STL files have the suffix "-fixed" and an error in positioning of the port prop is eliminated.
Having become interested in the competitors in the US Army Blackhawk replacement (FLRAA) competition, I tried building some models of them. These models are original and have been “bulked up” to print at 1:200.
Sikorsky Raider (X) - Small attack-size compound (superposed rotors plus pusher propeller) helicopter, proof of concept and demonstrator leading to the Defiant X. Two models, landing gear down or retracted.
Boeing-Sikorsky Defiant X - Proposed Blackhawk replacement compound helicopter. Two models, landing gear down or retracted. Scale may not be exact.
Bell V-280 Valor - Tilt-rotor aircraft, currently winner in the FLRAA Blackhawk replacement competition. Differs from the V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor system in that only the rotors (and associated transmissions) tilt while the engines remain horizontal. Two models, level-flight (landing gear up) or VTOL (landing gear down, rotors vertical). USE THE "-fixed" FILES.
