Simple 5.5" Rocket Nosecone - LOC Precision-style

A really simple 5.5" Rocket Nosecone for LOC Precision-style cardboard tubes.

Designed to be very lightweight, allowing 5.5" builds to qualify for <1.5kg "model" or mid-power weights. The printed weight with a 5% infill is around 230g!

You'll need a CR10 or thereabouts to print it and I use default Cura settings with a 5% infill to minimize weight. A 20% infill will make it much stronger, but at a weight cost.

This design can be scaled all the way down to BT80 size (or maybe less)!

With light applications, you can just tie the shock cord around the "mouth", but with heavier builds, I'd epoxy a tubular nylon/Kevlar cord to the very inside tip and then back-fill a bit with expanding foam. The advantage to the cord at the tip is the loads are completely in compression against the weight/shock, which is what 3D prints need (they don't like to be "pulled apart"!)
