Loved the original design but not the cleanup. Couldn't get it to print without support. Decided cutting and gluing made a better model.

Adding support left a lot of cleanup. Decided to try halving it and then gluing after. Easier to deal with a seam line.</p></div>

How I Designed This

Tinkercad. Flipped it; duplicated and then sunk both halves below the build plate. Then brought in a box/hole underneath to prevent having to lower the imported model the right distance on Cura. Merging left me with two halves that should mate up easily. Only change I would make on next iteration would be to add some cylindrical holes in the middle before cutting it to serve as alignment holes with some dowels.
