Ryobi Bit Holster

Do you own a Ryobi ONE+ 18V Lithium battery drill? If so you may have noticed that the built-in magnetized bit storage platform is pretty wimpy. After losing a number of bits I designed something to make bit storage neater and more secure. The print attaches to the OEM "magnetized" platform with CA-glue (aka Super Glue or Krazy Glue). A few dabs around the perimeter should do the trick. Then put a 6mm x 1.5mm neodymium magnet on the bottom of a bit, put a small drop of glue on the bottom of the magnet and slide it into one of the holes, hold it for ten seconds, then move on until all holes are populated with magnets. The glue bond is stronger than the magnetic bond so the bits are easily retrieved when needed and when reinserted, are captured with an audible click. I've tested this by holding the drill upside down and shaking it and the bits hold fast. I have not done a drop test.

I'm providing two files for the four models of drill I own. The P271 and P234G models use the holster with the rounded front, and the P277 and P235 will use the more angular holder.

The magnets are available on eBay or Amazon and the CA-glue is commonly available. I personally like the Locktite products because their packaging design preserves the glue so well and doesn't clog up after a single use.
