Summary

I wanted a loco with a rear bunker for my layout and this was the result. It is based on Kerr Stuarts Skylark design of lightweight narrow gauge loco.

This is the Kato tram chassis version. I am currently working on another version using a chassis from N-drive productions which will be a steam chassis.

Assembly and finishing

            <div><p>Remove the support material with care and it should come out easily enough, as always take especial care with small details.  </p><p>I have painted this with Hycote primer filler and Humbrol enamels.  The added handrail detail is from materials supplied by Wizard models.</p><p>The chassis is a clip fit into the bottom and may require a firm press to locate it.</p><p>The roof should be a press fit and when the inside of the cab is painted can be pressed into place before the paint is fully dry, which should hold it in place, failing that a drop of superglue with do the trick. </p><p>If traction is a problem especially if you have any gradients on your layout you may want to consider gluing some lead shot into the underside of the boiler. I find adding about 10g and hold it in place with superglue is sufficient.</p></div>
