Polaroid 3000 37mm filter adapter

The Polaroid 3000 is an awesome box camera due to its having a rangefinder that allows you to actually focus rather than rely on guesswork. It's the next best thing to an SX-70, but much, much less expensive. The only downside is that this camera takes sx-70 film, which can be tough to find. A 2-stop ND filter in front of the lens is all that's needed to use much more faster and more readily available Polaroid 600 film stock.

This adapter fits uses a 34-37mm step-up ring, pressed into the print, to hold a 37mm ND2 filter. This could of course also hold other filters if you like - even screwed into the ND2 filter thread.

The bayonet fit over the Polatriplet lens is slightly loose so that you can use a few pieces of insulation tape to shim up to a snug fit.

This brings new life to old cameras. This should work across a range of Polaroid cameras that use the same 44mm diameter lens (including rubber grip). This includes the Polaroid 2000, Pronto! B, Pronto RF, ProPack, and Reported.

Update - added a mkII version that is a tiny bit shorter to avoid vignetting noticed when lens is focused to infinity.
