Excavator Tooth 3D Scan & Reverse Engineering

New scan: Excavator Tooth😍😎

all internal and external surfaces have been scanned, and finally a Reverse Engineering CAD model was created based on the scan data.

The scan was done in modified version of FlexScan3D and using my DIY scanner. Then I redesigned this part in CATIA based on the scan data, and finally I designed casting pattern (casting mold).

For the first sample of casting pattern, we make it with wood (HDF), and then we can make an Aluminum casting pattern for mass production.

I uploaded scan data (.stl file), you can download it and use it as an exercise for Reverse Engineering.
