6x9 to 6x8 speaker adapter

This 3D printed speaker adapter is designed to convert a 6x9 mount to a 6x8 configuration, making it compatible with Infinity Reference Series speakers and other brands and models.

Printed with PETG, this adapter is built for durability in various weather conditions, so it is advisable to avoid using PLA unless it will be in a heated environment. Alternatives such as ABS or ASA can also be used, but keep in mind that ABS may become brittle in cold temperatures.

Easy installation is possible, though drilling additional holes may be required for optimal fit.

This design is straightforward and easily modifiable to suit your needs.

The version 3 was used in a 2008 ford fusion to cover insulation and needed to be reduced in size slightly to make a clean fit, I used m5 screws with 3d printed screw caps to make a tighter fit as I avoided drilling into the metal.
