Chuas Circuit Chaotic Attractor - MATH 401 Fall 2024
Chua's Circuit is a nonlinear electronic system. The state of the system at any given time is represented by three key electrical quantities:
x: Voltage across capacitor C₁
y: Voltage across capacitor C₂
z: Current through inductor L
This behavior arises from the circuit’s nonlinear resistor, Chua’s diode, which introduces a nonlinear piecewise function, distorting the current-voltage relationship and enabling unpredictable oscillations between two pseudo-stable states, also known visually as a "double scroll" chaotic attractor.
