ship project headed and mostly designed by Admiral Tom Paris. uses an artificially created dark blueish green dilithium substitute that is good for one shot pretty much. has two warp cores, one traditional dilithium the other artificial. first officer's quarters are at the rear starboard of deck one. captain's quarters are across from the ambassador's quarters I believe on deck 2 or 3. they have small holosuites attached to those quarters. most crew quarters are single occupancy unless it is a primary hull only design in which case some may have to bunk together as may be required for that particular class. each set of quarters contains an office, a head, a bedroom. some contain expanded private entertaining areas according to rank
side things one captain has a friend who is Klingon. When he gets a new crew his buddy likes to hide on board and see how long it takes to be discovered. the records are as soon as he stepped aboard the ship and over two months. the captain and computer felt bad and began to leave food out for him. the empire's only stealth Klingon. also the captain is enamoured with the Klingon's sister and thinks no one notices but they do cause it's so blatently obvious. Most noted for in service: was aboard a nebula class as a crewman and beamed himself into the torpedo pod to personally hand feed and program the torpedoes during the Dominion War when the auto loader was disabled in combat. His commanding officer gave him a dressing down yelling at him saying things like "overstepping bounds, you're not even in munitions group, didn't know crewmen were still available in stupid, how'd he know the override codes, etc". When he said, "I want to put you in a torpedo casing and fire it at the next Dominion ship we come across" Spud replied, "Better make it a good shot, we can't afford to waste casings". The captain broke out in a wide smile and said, "Kind of what I thought you'd say, lieutenant"!

Update: The Achilles has earned a refit! titled refit in the files. shuttlebay is three decks tall from two, the nacelles have been widened to accommodate new coils. Windows arrive on Tuesday
