Build-A-Beast Spark Plug Press (Gapping Tool) (14mm Thread/ 16mm hex)
Saw a few different spark plug gappers on here, but none fit my plugs and i didn't like a lot of the designs personally so i decided it was time to make my own. I borrowed some design elements from a couple and took some measurements and got to work.
These work with NGK 4554/4644 or similar sized plugs found in most Japanese engines. I designed these personally for use at my shop that specializes in Honda engines. I have confirmed these work on the common plugs found inmost Honda, GM, and Subaru engines that you would usually want these for, such as the Honda B16A, Subaru EJ25, and GM's LS and LT Platforms. If your plugs are 14mm thread, 16mm socket, chances are it will fit!
These require 2 nuts and 1 bolt. The bolts and nuts are:
Standard, common 1/4-20 nut (x3) that uses a 11mm or SAE equivalent socket
Standard, common 1/4-20 2" long bolt that uses a 11mm or SAE equivalent socket
If your bolt has identifiers on the head, you must sand/ grind it smooth so it can spin easily on the plug and not twist the grounding strap. The bolts i get and use are from ACE hardware, and are like 0.43c each and have a smooth head which works perfectly for this job. Get the smooth headed bolts if possible.
