Telrad finder mount base and dovetail shoe.

This is a base for the excellent Telrad telescope finder. This makes it easier to swap the finder between different telescopes and also makes it easier to use because it sits higher off the telescope.

There are 2 parts, the finder base and the Vixen-style dovetail shoe.

There is a little mechanical aptitude required - you have to drill 2 holes in the base of the Telrad unit to screw it into the base piece. There are small holes in the base piece which are NOT threaded - you need a screw big enough to self-tap into the plastic holes. The same is true for the dovetail base. I used #8 x 5/8 flat head sheet metal screws to attach the dovetail shoe, #6 x 1/2 or 5/8 pan head to attach the Telrad unit to the base.

Note also that the dovetail shoe is plastic and will therefore get indentations from the dovetail base set screw. This has not caused any problems for me.

I printed on a Prusa Mini in PLA, finder mount base .15mm layers, dovetail shoe .1mm.
