DRO Scale Brkts,G0602 Lathe
I printed these in PLA to work out kinks before making in metal (1/4"x 1"flat bar & 1/8" thk plate, 6061 alum).
They are made to mount a 170mm travel scale (260mm bolt centers) to the cross slide of a G0602 lathe.
I suppose they might fit other clones if gib adjusters line up. I did replace one gib screw that stuck out more with a shorter one.
The bar should be mounted 20mm fwd of the front of the cross slide. At this position the back end of the scale just kisses the backsplash as the table slips off the end of the leadscrew. (One picture shows this position)
It should also be mounted flush with the top of the slide to provide room underneath for a hex head carriage lock bolt you will need to use instead of the socket hd capscrew.
The slider brkt mounts even with front of cross slide nominally. Actual postion determined by backing cross slide fully out & leaving a little space so slider is not bottoming out.
It should also be mounted with edge firmly against carriage surface since it also functions as a tailstock stop. At least the metal version does, I was careful with the pla version not to hit it hard
