Double Battery Holder for Macintosh II and IIx
Some Macintosh II and IIx models originally had two axial 3.6V lithium Varta batteries, soldered directly to the logic board. These batteries are required for the startup circuit and for keeping time when the computer is powered off. The main issue is that after removing the old batteries, the location of the holes on the PCB are not suitable for replacing with standard 1/2 AA 3.6V battery holders. This 3D model is designed to hold two 1/2 AA lithium batteries (14260) side-by-side, with the pins in the correct location to fit the original holes in the PCB of the Mac II and IIx.
You will need to purchase two standard 1/2 AA battery holders and remove the metal contacts, then slip them into the 3D printed holder. It may also be necessary to bend out the metal of the contacts to reach the battery, as the holder is slightly longer than standard.
