DLT-20A Blaster Scope Assembly
This is a scope for the DLT-20A blaster rifle from Star Wars. I remixed this from a handful of different source models with the intent of creating a scope that could be assembled from multiple components. I personally enjoy the extra level of detail and realism that assemblies offer rather than a single object. This way you can finish and paint each part separately, then build the complete scope.
The scope is designed to attach to the rear scope mount of an STG-44, the real-world base for the DLT-20A.
Why a work in progress?
The main cylinder of the scope is designed so that when you twist it, the smaller front tip of the scope telescopes forward and backward. Currently, the tolerances of the moving parts are quite tight, and this telescoping action is not smooth unless you sand down the rotating surfaces. I may fine tune the parts in the future to reduce the amount of sanding required.
If you're happy with the look of the scope and don't care about the telescoping action, you can skip printing the internal slide components (parts 6 and 8) and just assemble the scope with a friction fit. It is very secure this way.
