Utility Sink spray hose diverter ball valve
A housing to replace the housing in my ball valve base component for a specialized purpose. This is used to create a utility sink diverter that lets you either use the utility sink as is or divert the flow to a hose with dogwashing attachments.
The housing has two specialized characteristics
- it only uses one insert with orings - as it is not important to stop all leaks when diverting to the hose - a small leak into the utility tub is not a problem
- it has a thread designed to fit onto the thread of the faucet on my utility sink. Note that I include a small "utility thread" piece that you can use to test if my sink thread matches your's. This piece is only for testing thread fit and not required for the build.
To build it, refer to my base ball valve component and print:
- print this housing (I inserted an oring where it will meet the tap, but this is not necessary)
- print the ball, stem, handle, and a single insert from the base ball valve component.
Assembly should be obvious, but you can refer to the base ball valve component assembly instructions if you find that helpful.
