Storied Skulls Crown and Tiara (1-Piece Models)
We've printed several of these crowns over the years, and they turn out nice, but the models are very old, from an era when printing was not as mature. Printers are better, and bigger, now, so I fused the models together to print as one piece. I added some additional primitive solids at the joints, to try to fuse it together stronger.
Also, the crown model (not the tiara) is very round when sitting on someone's head. It will fit tightly front to back, but with a large gap side to side. So, it needs to be more oval shaped. That was another reason for fusing the model together, so that it can be scaled differently in each axis. Try 105% front to back, 95% side to side.
Use organic supports. .3MF's, with support enforcers painted on, are included.
They seem to be pretty brittle when printed. We've broken them fairly easily, especially when dropped. That's why the files use a lot of perimeters, to make them fairly solid and strong. However, you want the skull, especially on the crown, to not get too thick or else it is very front-heavy. So notice that there are different perimeter and infill settings on those pieces.
