Scottie's Toolbox - Universal Translator (Metamorphosis)

This is my interpretation of a Universal Translator from the the original Star Trek series. Specifically, the large one from the episode "Metamorphosis" which has also been called the Shuttlecraft version.

I've included three types of files, not all of which are intended for printing. Where the file title reads "Exploded View", don't print it. It is intended only for viewing with the STL viewer. It's my way of allowing you to see how the sub-assemblies are built, and finally how they fit together for the final assembly.

Where the file title reads 'with' or 'without', these are little more tricky. Since some printers (including mine) have a problem with holes, for the 'with' files I've included trash pieces in the design that ought to be loose enough to break away from the model piece once printed. I haven't had a chance to see how this works yet, so I've also included versions of the same pieces 'without' the trash bits. I couldn't think of a better way to break it up than this.
