Braun Worklight Nut Insert Repair Piece (SKU 64800)

If you're like me and your Harbor Freight Braun 4500 Lumen worklight (SKU 64800) falls over, it might end up breaking the little plastic nut insert that holds the light onto the tripod.

This is a piece you can 3D print. Extract the old M8 nut from the broken piece and jam it into the slot on the side of the insert. Then, press the piece into the end of the tripod and reinstall the four little screws that held the old piece in.

This should be a tight fit in the end of the tripod. Feel free to scale it up if you find it fits too loosely in your tripod.

I printed mine out of PLA with 50% infill and 2 shells using my ancient MakerBot Replicator 2. You may want to print it with higher infill. I figure if it breaks again, I'll print another with higher infill...

Hopefully this saves a bunch of tripods from the trash bin!
