Remix of Narn Frazi Starfighter for tabletop miniatures
In my Star Wars D6 games, I added some B5 elements, such as a version of the Narn from B5. I like the Frazi starfighter, but never could line up the CGI with the practical set for the cockpit. And I'm of the opinion that the fandoms got it wrong, even if it's from an official source...the fighter looks proportionally to be 20 meters long, not the 17 and some change. Now, poor B5 has been beleaguered with inconsistencies of lore between poor Mongoose Games trying to world build with insufficient information, novels that were never run by MJS for whether they fit the reality he spun, and a largely forgotten RPG that preceded Mongoose. And MJS, like Roddenberry and Lucas, really isn't focused on THAT kind of world building.
That said, when I started looking at the wonderful model posted by Badhaircut, I had an idea. So, I pulled it up on Blender and copied the guns and engines and turned 'em into quads. Then, I thickened out the body to have a properly proportioned cockpit to align with the practical effects from the show. But, it was only possible because Badhaircut posted a wonderful model.
I'll get the game stats posted here later.
UPDATE: 12 MAR 2025, my test print worked quite nice. Everything came out clean on my Photon and despite the optical illusions, was fairly straight.
