EDC Pocket Kit - Utility Blade, driver, needle/thread holder and case

I normally find most EDC kits are too cluttered to actually be usful everyday - so this is a pocket EDC that is actually designed to be used, not just emergency. The case is as accommodating as is comfortable for me in a jeans pocket along with a wallet - so adapt to meet your needs.

Covered in this thingi:

  • Case outer (with space for magnet glued in at the bottom - makes a satisfying close)
  • Case inner (with space for magnet glued)
  • 4 Knife body parts (holds a standard double tip utility blade). Blade body screws together with M2's, cap glued with guide holds (use a bit of raw filament).
  • Screw driver body (space for a glue is magnet again to hold the bit better). I use a longer bit with a Philips one side, flat head the other.
  • Sewing needle with length of twine instead of thread - not just good for buttons and clothes, but also minor kit repairs such as bags on the go; again used more than might initially think. This print in here is a holder that can take the tip of the needle, then wrap the twine around the length of it (not the width, otherwise it gets too kinked to be useful).

Addition I keep in my kit:

  • Lighter (THIS IS A MINI CLIPPER, NOT A FULL SIZED ONE)
  • Hair band - I have a daughter; to be honest even if I didn't I would still keep this in here, it is surprising how often I give this out to people.
  • A small length of stiff(ish) wire - for poking things
  • Duct Tape (rolled up on another length of the same wire)
  • Mole Tope (rolled up on another length of the same wire) - mine is clear but usually tan - good for medical stuff
  • Plaster - again, kids, but also good for annoying cuts on hands (especially if doing a pulled pork salt rub - weirdly specific example)
  • Heart Burn tablet in cling film - makes the EDC extra manly
  • Paracetamol in cling film - Most used!
  • Safety pin
  • I normally stick a pound coin (for the trolley) and a fiver in there - but I used both today (haha)

Tiny kit, in your pocket, and just fobs you through so many annoying situations!

I have so many people that comment on it and want to add loads to it and it turns into almost a 24hr survival kit challenge. For me, this is not that - there is space in there, but that is so I can comfortably use it. You do yours, listen to people - they may have some gems, but at the end of the day its your kit and it should work for you. If someone has a comment, print one and gift it to them so they can be prepped too, they can fill with what they like then :)
