Cat phone stand, 4 designs
Simple and sturdy phone stand with the shape of a cat. There are alternative designs with both, solid and hollow appearance, and two angles of inclination: 36 degrees and 25 degrees. The version with 36 degrees of inclination is more comfortable for those who will use it on a desk from close distance, whereas the version with 25 degrees of inclination is better suited for people watching their phone from a longer distance.
The stands are 70 mm wide, but since they are made as a straight extrusion, you can scale them to whatever thickness you like. Note that the outside edges have a 1 mm radius fillet, so if you are gong to modify the thickness of the stand, I strongly recommend you to do that in a 3d modeling program to preserve the fillets. If you scale the model inside the sliced, you may end up with deformed fillets that are no longer a true radius of 1 mm.
Recommended settings in BambuStudio for best strength-to-weigh ratios are:
Sparse infill density: 6%
Sparse infill pattern: Grid
Infill direction: 72,2 degrees
Note that the infill direction may appear totally different depending on the orientation on your printing bed, so make sure that you use an angle that creates a strong internal support where the cat's tail is located. This is the most important area of the model that holds the majority of the weight.
The solid version with 36 degrees inclination, 6% sparse infill density and 72,2% infill direction is used every day with Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and is rock solid while also being very lightweight.
Printing time for this version on BambuLab P1S is 54 minutes ans 7 seconds. Total filament is 17,14 meters and weight is 51,95 grams.
