Squid pole top spike

Radio amateurs use squid poles to hold up antennas for portable operation. The heavy duty squid poles (Haverford) have a spherical ball on the tip. This is difficult to attach an antenna to. This tip fits snugly over the spherical ball and provides a threaded spike that can be used to restrain the center of a dipole antenna.

This is an updated version of the original. I found that the threaded spike on the end wasn't strong enough, so I have replaced it with an M6 x 25mm Nylon bolt and nut.

There are now 2 versions. The _short variant is less tall which helps to allow the squid pole bung to fit.
