Wireless Charging Pad holder for Kia EV3
The KIA EV3 base Air trim doesn't have an integrated Wireless pad to charge your phone. At first glance, this doesn't seem important. However, if you use Android Auto which is connected by Bluetooth, you'll soon find that this significantly drains the phone's battery, and you'll need to plug it in for longer journeys.
Rather than do that, here's another solution, whereby a cheap 100W Wireless Charging pad from eBay is held in the centre console with this design. The one I bought is 99.5mm diameter and 6mm thick
You will also need to buy a short USB3.0 USB C Male to USB3.0 USB C Male cable. Make sure the cable can supply the power necessary.
Obviously this doesn't fit all phones. It was designed for my Pixel 6 which has a lump on the back where the camera lenses are. The idea was to loosely retain the pad and bridge the cable so it stays in place when the phone isn't in place. The hard part was getting a decent fit in the console. By all means remix it to suit different phones. I don't know if this would fit any of the other Kia EV models.
