Jon El Son of Kal El Belt

Remixed metaCosplay's amazing articulated belt mostly by scaling up the links, shortening some down a bit, and using them for some custom plates to create my best approximation of Jonathan Kent (Jon-El)'s belt from the Son of Kal-El series.

Because the cape is optional for this costume, I wanted it to not have any obviously visible clasps, so I use the flex links to make it easier to take on and off. The center plate is just over 100mm and the rear plate adds ~70mm. Each regular link adds ~40mm of length and each short link ~30mm. For my 100cm waist I used the back plate and front plate, with 8 regular and 2 short links on each side.

The belt links and plates are printed in PLA. The gem is meant to be printed with a resin printer for the best effect, but can print on an FDM machine if needed. To assemble, glue the gem cover onto the front plate to hold the gem inside, then connect all the links up and you're ready to go!
