TrackIR 5 Camera Mount for Thin Bezel Monitors

This is a remix of RabbitEngineering's great simple "Track IR 5 holder clip". As they mention, the provided mount sucks for monitors made in the last 5 (or 10?) years as the legs stick down in front of the screen. I had previously rigged a janky mount on my monitor involving a small bolt the weak magnet on the camera attached to, but it was never stable. I was thinking how to design a better one when I stumbled on this.

I built it out a little to better hold on to the camera and added divots to fit the vertical post I created to glue to the back. I used gorilla glue and clamped them together for a couple hours and it holds solid. As seen in the photo there is a hole through the post that is just big enough for the USB connector to pass through. Then a couple strips of double-stick foam tape (or one wide strip) is all you need to firmly attach to the back of the monitor.

I went with 100% infill, and it still only took 9g of PLA to print both parts. Very happy with the results.

I hope this is useful to all those out there still using TrackIR.
