The ND Things
Some 3d models to print for the mx5nd.
Bushing insert: Print it with "at least" PLA, then sand it down a bit and handle with silicone to become shiny. It increases OEM door bushing rigidity. Looks better.
Deflector Frame: Frame to hold different deflectors. Put double sided foam tape on the curved side window and put it on the triangle window. Print with "at least" PLA, possibly ABS or ASA or similar. Use at least 30% infill. Mirror it to use on the passenger side. Print it with flat side down, send the curved side or use layer height of 0.2 or less to make the curved parts fine enough. This makes the tape stick better.
Deflector Blank: This one is for you! You can import this into your modeling SW (blender for example) And shape the extruded flat part as you wish. Try it!
Deflector v1/v2/v3/...: Different deflector designs. Mirror them to use on the passenger side. Print it "at least" with quality PLA, use ABS or ASA for warmer climates. Use horizontal expansion of at least -0.05mm to make it easier to install into the frame. YOU WILL NEED 2 SMALL SCREWS TO FIX IT INTO THE FRAME!
WARNING:
- Make sure the screws don't damage the doors or the triangle window when you close the doors. They must be screwed in completely.
- Put the deflector into the frame and fix it with screws, then put on the double sided foam-tape and only after that glue it onto the glass. Check the images in the gallery first.
