Shop Vac hose to accessory hose adapter V1.0 (2.5" male-male hose adapter)

This adapter connects a 2½” Shop Vacuum hose like the Craftsman 2½” hose to an accessory hose with a 2½” connection end. Since both are the same size, a male/male adapter is needed. It’s designed with a flange in the middle to provide a solid seal. The flange is filleted so that it can be printed standing up without support.

There is a photo of the janky solution I had in place with the blue tape. It works, but it requires time each time I use it to re-wrap the ends, and of course tape to seal the gap.

The rest of the photos show the 3DP part which connects the two hoses conveniently and quickly. No muss, no fuss. The first photo is fresh off the printer, the second one shows the fillet I used on the flange to allow it to print nicely without support and the third photo show it in place between the two hoses. If I were going to run a V1.1, I would reduce the shop vac hose side so it slipped further into that fitting. Apparently, that fitting is tapered. It works as is, but just won’t slide in all the way.

I have updated the design. Vac Hose to Accessory Hose Adapter v3.0 is shorter to save material and printing time. This version is long enough to meet the need. I have also added embedded lettering. I have several of these and I have found it useful to have them labeled so I can quickly grab the one I need.
